Buttermilk Breakfast Cake

Ingredients

  • Batter:
  • 3 C flour
  • 1/4 C sugar
  • 2 t powder
  • 1 t solda
  • 1 t salt
  • 6 T melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 C buttermilk
  • 2 t vanilla
  • Icing:
  • 1/4 C powdered sugar
  • 2 T melted butter
  • 3 T milk
  • 2 T oil for baking sheet
  • Swirl:
  • 1/2 C melted butter
  • 1/2 C brown sugar
  • 1 t cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients and wet ingredients separately. Then together.
  2. Oil a 13x18 baking sheet (using butter and oil). Pop in oven to preheat while you mix the cinnamon swirl
  3. Pull out pan and spread batter on to the tray, then plop cinnamon mixture all over, swirl with a knife.
  4. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes while you mix the icing.
  5. Dribble icing on top. Serve with sliced fruit
