Mulled Cranberry Drink

Ingredients

  • 12-ounce package fresh cranberries
  • 8 cups (2 quarts) water
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • 6 cinnamon sticks
  • 12 whole cloves
  • 4 cups orange juice
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • Thin lemon slices

Instructions

  1. Combine cranberries, water, sugar, orange zest, cinnamon sticks, and cloves in a large pot and cook over medium heat until cranberries are soft, about 30+ minutes. Cranberries may start to pop.
  2. Strain mixture, then stir in juices.
  3. Warm mixture without letting it boil. Keep warm until ready to serve.
  4. Float a thin lemon slice in each cup. Makes 24 half-cup servings.
